In this article, we will highlight some of the new features and improvements that have been added in the latest version of SliQ Invoicing Plus, V5-5-0-0.
One of the most requested features by our customers is a spellchecker. SliQ Invoicing Plus now includes a spellchecker that works in a similar way to Microsoft Word - any mis-spelled words are underlined with a red squiggle. You can right-click on the word to see suggestions or add it to your custom dictionary. The spellchecker works on line item descriptions, customer messages, supplier messages and email templates. You can also choose your preferred language and dictionary from the Options dialog.
Another major feature that has been added in V5 is a stock control system that lets you track your inventory levels and automate ordering for low stock items. You can define products with stock codes, prices, quantities and reorder levels. SliQ Invoicing Plus will automatically update your stock levels when you raise invoices, credit notes or purchase orders. You can also view your current stock levels and reorder status on the Products tab or run stock reports to see your stock history and valuation.
HTML Email Templates
V5 also introduces the ability to define HTML email templates that let you customize the appearance and content of your emails. You can add logos, images, formatted text, signatures and more to your email templates. You can also use placeholders to insert dynamic information such as invoice number, customer name, due date etc. SliQ Invoicing Plus comes with some predefined email templates that you can edit or create your own from scratch.
Besides these major features, V5 also includes over 100 other additions and modifications based on customer feedback. Some of these are:
The ability to automatically insert date information into line item descriptions on recurring invoices.
The ability to configure the date ranges used on ageing reports on statements to bring them in line with invoice payment terms.
The ability to reorder customer messages and supplier messages using new Move Up/ Move Down buttons.
The ability to turn off autosaving of customer messages and supplier messages entered while raising new invoices, POs etc.
The ability to open server company files from desktop shortcuts.
